Galaxy S25 Plus spotted with Exynos 2500

hello. This is Technologytodaynow. Samsung’s next-generation flagship model, the Galaxy S25 series, is getting a lot of anticipation after word spread that all models will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, the possibility of installing the Exynos 2500 chipset remains controversial. In this article, let’s take a look at whether the Exynos 2500 will actually be used in the Galaxy S25 series and how well it will perform.

Galaxy S25 Plus benchmark scores leaked with Exynos 2500

Galaxy S25 Plus benchmark scores leaked with Exynos 2500

Recently, the benchmark score of the Galaxy S25 Plus was confirmed on Geekbench. The model name is SM-S936B, and it is believed to be a European model. The motherboard name was confirmed to be “S5E9955”, which appears to use the Exynos 2500 chipset and Xclipse 950 GPU. Geekbench scores are as follows.

  • RAM capacity: 12GB
  • Maximum clock speed: 3.3 GHz
  • Single Core Score: 2,359 points
  • Multi-core score: 8,141 points

Performance Differences With Snapdragon 8 Elite

When comparing the Geekbench score of the Exynos 2500 to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is scheduled to be installed in the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, the performance of the Exynos 2500 is somewhat inferior.

Chipset typeSingle Core ScoreMulti-Core Score
Exynos 25002,359 points8,141 points
Snapdragon 8 Elite3,050 points10,200 points

The Exynos 2500 has a low single-core score of about 700 points, and there is also a gap of more than 2,000 points in multi-core scores. In particular, it is expected to show a significant difference in game performance, with lower performance compared to the Dimensity 9400.

Exynos Available in Domestic Launch Models

Looking at the Geekbench score above, the Galaxy S25 Exynos model is expected to perform very poorly, and many people are worried about whether the Galaxy S25 will really feature an Exynos chipset. So far, it seems likely that all models of the S25 series will adopt the Snapdragon chipset, but some regions cannot rule out the installation of the Exynos chipset.

The Korean market is likely to have the same model as the European release. Except for the Galaxy S20 series, where the European model had Exynos and the Korean model had Snapdragon, most previous models have had the same chipset as their European counterparts.
Therefore, if the European model is equipped with Exynos 2500, the domestic model may follow a similar strategy.

Future application model of Exynos 2500

So far, it looks like the Exynos 2500 chipset will most likely be prioritized for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It’s unlikely that the Galaxy S25 series will get the less powerful Exynoschipset, but we’d like to see Snapdragon chipsets in all models without a reversal.

Possible installation of Galaxy S25 Series Exynos

For now, it is expected that the domestic models of the Galaxy S25 series will most likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, given the benchmark results and the situation with the European models, we will have to wait for further news, as even the domestic-launched models cannot completely rule out the possibility of carrying Exynos.
