hello. This is Technologytodaynow. In this article, we’ll summarize the Google Pixel 9 leaks ahead of its launch next month.
Google Pixel 9 Summarizing So Far Leaked Content
Google Pixel 9 coming early
The Google Pixel 9 will be unveiled on August 13, earlier than expected, likely spurred on by the increased AI capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy 24, the first AI phone, and the iPhone 16, which will be released in September. Google maintains a lead in the AI space with its AI model Gemini, but it appears to be fast-tracking the Pixel 9 two months ahead of schedule to keep up with competitors in the AI smartphone market.
Google Pixel 9 launch colors
The Pixel 9 is expected to be available in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelan, Jade, and Peony.
The Fiona color was revealed by an Algerian user named hanibioud, and based on the video posted on his X account, it looks like the product is ready for release.
Change the fingerprint sensor
Pixels have had a fingerprint scanner since the Pixel 6 series.
Previously, we used optical fingerprint scanners, but they were slow to respond and vulnerable to moisture and dust.
That’s why the Pixel 9 series will feature a higher-performance Qualcomm 3D Sonic Gen 2 scanner.
This new scanner is said to be faster at recognizing fingerprints and has a wider range than its predecessor.
Google AI
The Google Pixel 9 will reportedly come with a new machine learning feature called Google AI. According to Android Authority, some of the features unveiled include “Add Me,” “Pixel Screenshots,” and “Studio. ‘Add Me’ takes ‘Best Take’ a step further, giving you the ability to change or merge the facial expressions of people in a photo. The Studio feature also offers AI image generation similar to the Image Playground in iOS 18.
Pixel Screenshot is similar to the recently controversial “Recall” feature in Microsoft (MS) Windows 11.
However, MS’s Recall has been criticized for invading privacy and leaking information because it stores all PC users’ activity and analyzes it by AI, while Google’s Pixel Screenshot only analyzes the image you take a screenshot of.
We believe that “pixelated screenshots” are more likely to prevail in terms of privacy.
Here’s a quick recap of the recent Google AI news on the Google Pixel 9.
With AI smartphones becoming increasingly commonplace, expectations are high for the Pixel 9’s performance.
We’re about a month away from the product launch, and we’ll keep you posted on any additional news as it becomes available.
