Galaxy Z Fold 6 Price Performance Design and More Unpacked Summary
Design
The new Galaxy Z Fold is the S24 Ultra, with a matte frame that gives it a very premium look. It’s slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, measuring 1.3 millimeters thinner than its predecessor when folded, while measuring 12.1 millimeters thick and weighing 239 grams, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The cover display is also larger, which greatly improves usability, and the increased palm area also improves grip.
The bezel size and hinge protrusion have been significantly reduced, and the internal display no longer has bezel terminals, making it more practical and sleeker. Colors include Navy, Silver Shadow, and Pink, and Samsung.com-exclusive colors include Color White and Kraft Black. The pink color is also expected to be very popular among young people, especially women. It’s a shame that the cream color is excluded.
Chipset
There were rumors that it would feature an Exynos chipset, but it did feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy.
Compared to the previous model, the NPU has a 42% performance upgrade, the CPU has an 18% performance upgrade, and the GPU has a 19% performance upgrade.
A bigger change is heat treatment, which is 1.6 times larger in the size of the vaper chamber. As a result, the heat generation performance has become similar to that of the Galaxy S24.
Battery
The battery capacity is unfortunately the same 4,400mAh as the previous model.
Still, battery life is expected to improve due to the increased AP power ratio and improved display power consumption.
Camera
The camera specs are the same as the previous model:
It has a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 10MP megapixel camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a UDC 4MP camera. The camera lens on the back of the Fold 6 has been increased in size, and a new ring has been added to the camera lens.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Price
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is available in two models, 256GB and 512GB.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is priced at KRW 2,229,700 in South Korea and $1,899 in the US for the 256GB model. Compared to the previous model, it is up about 130,000 won.
And the new products released this time are not only Galaxy Foldable, but also Galaxy Ring is said to be priced cheaper in Korea than overseas prices. In the past, some of Samsung’s products have been priced much lower in the U.S. than in Korea, much to the displeasure of Korean consumers. In this case, I’m glad to see the opposite is true, with lower domestic prices.

It’s a shame that the battery capacity won’t be increased, but the fact that the domestic price is lower than the international price will be well received by domestic consumers.
