How Thin Will iPhone 17 Slim Be Launched

hello. This is Technologytodaynow. Apple’s iPhone 17 series, which will be released next year, is expected to do away with the Plus model and instead introduce a slimmed-down version of the device, dubbed the iPhone Slim.
The IT media McRumors summarized the price, design, and performance of the iPhone 17 Slim, and I would like to look at it.

iPhone 17 Slim promises a slimmer design and innovative changes

Thinner design

iPhone 17 Slim promises a slimmer design and innovative changes

According to IT media Deformation, Apple will unveil a brand new iPhone 17 Slim (coded D23) next year. The model is expected to introduce a very thin design using an aluminum case instead of the titanium case of the pro model. In addition, the dynamic islands are also likely to become narrower as the FaceID system becomes smaller using smaller metal lenses.

Screen size

Information about the screen size of the iPhone 17 Slim is greatly conflicting. Jeff Fu, an analyst at Haitong International Securities in Hong Kong, predicts 6.6 inches, while display analyst Ross Young claims 6.55 inches. The iPhone 15 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen, but since Apple is testing various designs, the screen size could still change before the product is released.

Changing camera position

According to Deinformation, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to have a different camera position than its predecessor.
According to a May report, the rear camera on the iPhone 17 slim model could be moved to a top-center position.
Similar to how some Android phones have their rear cameras located in the top center of the back of the device, the iPhone is expected to try a new design.

Anti-reflective coating

According to Chinese IT tipster Instant Digital in March, all iPhone 17 models released next year will likely feature an “ultra-strong anti-reflective layer” on the outer glass instead of the ceramic shield of the iPhone 15. This anti-reflective technology is likely to be similar to Corning’s Gorilla Glass Armor display on Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra.

120Hz Promotional Display

Apple will expand promotional displays with up to 120Hz refresh rates to the iPhone 17 standard model next year, offering smooth scrolling and video content. Promotional displays will be more power efficient than traditional OLED panels, enabling the introduction of always-on displays that can show the clock, widgets, and notifications on the lock screen.

Improved front camera

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 17 series will feature a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with a six-element lens. Currently, all iPhone 14 to iPhone 16 models have a 12-megapixel front camera consisting of an f/1.9 aperture and five lenses with autofocus. However, the iPhone 17, which will be released next year, is expected to have a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus and six lenses.

Internal upgrades

Based on expectations so far, the iPhone 16 model, which will be released this fall, is expected to have 8GB of RAM.
This is to run Apple Intelligence, and the iPhone 17 slim model to be released next year is also expected to feature 8GB of RAM and an A19 chip.

Higher prices

The iPhone 17 Slim will reportedly cost more than the Pro Max model, which is currently priced at $1199.
If that happens, the iPhone Slim could become the iPhone Ultra, the top-of-the-line model that has been rumored for years.
