Galaxy S25 Ultra gets a big design change

The Galaxy S series has long been available in Normal, Plus, and Ultra models, but recently news has surfaced that the Plus model will be discontinued. The upcoming Galaxy S25 series is expected to be completely redesigned by a new designer from Benz, who designed the Galaxy Buzz 3 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
In particular, expectations for the new design of the ultra model are high.

According to IT tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a redesign, and it’s meant to improve grip. The core of the new design is the middle frame, and the back panel will be rounded with curvature while the screen will remain angled. This will emphasize the asymmetry of the screen and back panel, which will make the design different from the previous Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra.

The new Galaxy S25 Ultra has an asymmetrical structure through the curvature of the back panel, which is expected to improve grip. With a narrower middle frame, the S25 Ultra will have a slimmer design than its predecessor.
The width is the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but the bezels are expected to be visually thinner.

Maintain a flat display

Even with the addition of curvature, the edge display is unlikely to be preserved.
The screen remains flat and is expected to remain flat.
This is a decision to maintain the convenience and practicality that users prefer.

Changes inspired by past designs

Taking a cue from the design of the Galaxy Note 7, we’re hearing that there are plans to return to a more curved, rather than angular, design. If the curvature is applied to the corners, we expect it to feel like the cobblestone of the Galaxy S3 when viewed from the back.
