First up on the release date front, Indian IT outlet 91Mobile reports that ithas confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim’s registration with a Korean certification body. According to the report, a Samsung product with the model number SM-F958N has been listed on the certification site of the Korea Testing and Research Institute (KTR). The model number SM-F958N is believed to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim (or Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra), and it appears to have been certified before the product was released in South Korea.

The outlet also expects the Galaxy ZFold 6 Slim to officially launch in South Korea on the 25th of next month. The Chosun Ilbo is also expecting a September release date, and Samsung has rarely launched new products in September in the past. Launching a new product in September seems to be an effort to take the lead in the slim phone market, which is likely to be highly competitive going forward.

Cover display and rear camera

In other camera news, Dutch tech publication Galaxy Club reports that the phone will feature a 10-megapixel front-facing camera in a cover display, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera on the back. This is expected to help users enjoy a better photography experience.

Upgraded Under Panel Camera (UPC)

The Galaxy Club is also expecting the Galaxy ZFold 6 Slim to feature an upgraded 5-megapixel under panel camera (UPC). This technology was first introduced on the previous Galaxy ZFold 3, and is said to make the most of the screen by only activating the camera when it’s needed.
