Galaxy S25 expected design leaks
Galaxy S25 likely to keep the design of its predecessor
A report from Android Headline has revealed the expected design of the Galaxy S25 regular model. Like theGalaxy S25 Ultra, there are changes to the chassis such as corners and angled sides, but there are no major design changes as the rear camera arrangement and front display remain the same, and like the Ultra, the regular model seems to have little design change, contrary to rumors that the design of the regular model could be a full change under the influence of a new designer from Benz.
Compared to the Ultra model, the regular model is practically non-existent. The rear camera design has been retained, with the triple cameras arranged vertically and the lens protruding alone without a camera bump surrounding it, and the front display remains bezel-less with a punch hole placed at the top center.
Lens with camera ring attached
The curvature of the corners is also unchanged. It also retains the angular side frames from the Galaxy S24 series. The biggest difference is the design that surrounds the camera lens. A camera ring with a circular pattern is attached to the lens, which was applied to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s expected design also has this camera ring attached. However, there are other claims being made about this camera ring that it will have the same camera design as the S24, which doesn’t have a camera ring.
This expected design is made through drawings to build the case, which are simply holes in it, so detailed changes such as camera rings are likely to be different from the actual design.
Personally, I’d rather not have that camera ring, so I’m hoping the claims of no camera ring match the actual product. However, without the camera ring, the Galaxy S25 may not be a design change at all.
A slimmer Galaxy S25 design
There will be a change in overall size. The Galaxy S24’s display size is 6.17 inches, while the marketing spec for the Galaxy S25’s display size is 6.2 inches, but the actual measurement is 6.15 inches, so the Galaxy S25 will also have a marketing size of 6.2 inches, but the actual area will be very slightly larger. In the process, the Galaxy S25’s overall device dimensions will be 146.9 by 70.4 and 7.2 millimeters thick, a reduction of 0.1 millimeters in height, 0.2 millimeters in width, and 0.4 millimeters in thickness.
There were rumors that it would grow to 6.3 inches, and since this information is based on case production drawings, as opposed to details like the camera ring that I mentioned earlier, it’s safe to say that the size information is completely consistent. So it’s safe to say that the display size will remain the same. However, there may be some changes, such as a smaller display bezel. The battery capacity is expected to remain at 4,000 mAh.
Samsung appears to have chosen stability over innovation
So far, we’ve seen the expected design of the Galaxy S25 regular model. Judging by what’s been revealed, the design of the Galaxy S25 is virtually unchanged. While this is good news for those who prefer a familiar design, it may be a bit disappointing for those who were hoping for something new. The focus seems to be on evolving the existing design rather than making major design changes.
