hello. This is Technologytodaynow. Not long ago, the expected Galaxy Z Flip 7 design was revealed. Recently, a modified design was revealed, so I’d like to take a closer look.
Changed Galaxy Z Flip 7 Expected Design
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, which seems to be a direct successor to the Flip 5

The Galaxy Z Flip 7’s expected design, which was recently revealed to the media, is a re-use of the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s cover display design, which is cut along with the dual camera located at the top left, and is said to have only slightly increased in size. As there has been no significant change in specifications, it may be regrettable that there has been no change in design. However, the expected design has recently been modified.
Expected to adopt a different design

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 seems to adopt Motorola’s design. According to new information from Onleaks, which was updated through its Android headline, the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s design will come in a different design than the existing Flip model. The biggest changes will be seen in the cover display. The dual camera and LED flash are positioned the same, but the cover display is not cut along the camera line, but rather a punch hole is drilled into the camera and LED flash position to fill the front part with the display without any space. It has a similar design to Motorola’s clamshell smartphone, the Razr 50 Ultra, which was released last year.
Changes in the cover display
The size of the display also increased as the margin was reduced. It is expected to expand from 3.6 inches to 4 inches, and the usability of the cover display is expected to improve again after three years. However, these changes are likely to be liked or disliked.
The Flip series was considered to be a product that focuses on design rather than practicality, but as the cover display grew, it became similar to Motorola, which eliminated Flip’s unique design characteristics. This change in cover display focuses more on practicality than design.
Why the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Design Changed
According to a recently released market study by Hana Securities Research, sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 have decreased by about 900,000 units compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. While foldable smartphones have tended to be less preferred recently, it is possible that design-oriented foldable smartphones are no longer working for consumers because the drop in sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is much larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
As a result, I believe Samsung is working on an upgrade that emphasizes practicality. In addition, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip Fan Edition this year, and it may have been possible that the upgrade was carried out to differentiate between the two models. We will have to see if these changes will succeed.
