hello. This is Technologytodaynow. Once again, we’re back with the latest news on the Galaxy S25 series. This time, more information has leaked out about the camera and thickness, which we’ll take a look at in this posting.
Galaxy S25 Series camera, design updates
Additional Galaxy S25 Series camera performance leaks
First of all, let’s do a quick recap of what we’ve said before. We told you that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have the same 200-megapixel main camera sensor, the same 50-megapixel 5x telephoto and 10-megapixel 3x telephoto cameras, and a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
And the camera part installed on the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus was confirmed through the IT media Galaxy Club. First of all, the GN3 60MP main camera sensor, which has been used since the last S22 and S22 Plus, will be used in the S25 and S25 Plus, and the front camera will be equipped with the same 12-megapixel sensor as the S23 and S24. Therefore, it is thought that the company has adopted a method of improving post-processing with an improved MPU and an improved ISP.
Battery capacity and thickness
In addition, the battery capacity was confirmed, and just like the S24 series, the S25 base model will feature a 4,000 mAh S25 Plus battery with 4,900 mAh and the Ultra 5,000 mAh battery. The overall thickness of the S25 series is also confirmed. The S25 Plus has slightly thicker bezels than the S24 Plus, and according to Iceunivers, the reason is that the bezels were intentionally made wider to make the S25 Ultra stand out more. As such, the Ultra will likely have the thinnest bezels among the S25 series.
- S25: 7.2 mm thick (0.4 mm thinner than its predecessor)
- S25 Plus: 7.3 mm thick (0.4 mm thinner than its predecessor)
- S25 Ultra: 8.2 mm thick (0.4 mm thinner than its predecessor)
Galaxy S25 Plus render images leaked
Lastly, a cad transform-based render of the S25 Plus was also released via Onleaks.
If you check it out, it doesn’t look much different from the S25 base cad drawing-based render we showed you earlier. As a side note, Iceunivers had mentioned that the rear camera ring, for example, will be the same camera ring design that was featured on the S24 series, rather than the bold camera ring design of the Fold 6.
Finalize
The bottom line is that while there will of course be chipset improvements like the S25 series, there won’t be any major hardware changes like changing the camera sensor, and instead, the focus will be on improving grip, reducing weight, and slimming down.
