hello. This is Technologytodaynow. In this post, I’ll share the latest design updates for the fourth-generation iPhone SE, Apple’s mid-range smartphone expected to launch next year.
iPhone SE 4th generation design expected features and details
Case reveals iPhone SE 4th generation design speculation
Photos of an accessory have surfaced that may hint at the design of the fourth-generation iPhone SE, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2025. Xuser Sonny Dicksonhas posted photos of a case for the iPhone SE 4th generation that is believed to be made in China.
The case is made of black silicone and features an oval rear camera hole, a hole for the charging port in the center of the bottom, and a small hole for the volume control button.
iPhone SE 4th generation rear design
A closer look at the shape of the hole for the rear camera shows a single-camera configuration, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 8 Plus. An LED flash is likely to be placed to the right of the rear camera lens, suggesting that the iPhone SE 4th generation does not adopt a multi-camera system like more recent iPhones.
Side design of the iPhone SE 4th generation
What’s noticeable about this case is the lack of a hole on the side opposite the volume control buttons, which is a recycling of a design element from older iPhones and doesn’t appear to include the camera control buttons found on the newer iPhone 16 series.
Mute toggle button applicability
Given the hole above the volume buttons, it’s highly likely that the iPhone SE 4th generation will feature a mute toggle button. Of course, we can’t be entirely certain that a mute toggle button will be included just because there’s a hole in the case. However, most recently released cases have been designed to cover the action button, and since the iPhone SE 4th generation is rumored to be based on the iPhone 14, there’s also a possibility that it won’t have an action button
Expected specifications for iPhone SE 4th generation
The iPhone SE 4th generation will inherit some of the iPhone 14’s design, but it’s also expected to bring performance improvements, and here are the key specs to expect.
- Display: 6.06-inch OLED display
- Security features: Face ID instead of Touch ID
- Charging port: USB-C type port
- Camera: 48-megapixel main camera
- Processor: A17 Pro or A18 chipset
- RAM: 8 GB of RAM to support Apple Intelligence features
Finalize
So far, we have looked into case leaks that give us an idea of the iPhone SE 4th generation design. It feels like the action button was removed because of the dynamic island. If it is equipped with an A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, and has improved camera control, it will likely be of great benefit to Apple users.
