Comparative Analysis of Galaxy S25 Series Sales

Hi, this is Technologytodaynow. Pre-orders of the Galaxy S25 series, which ran from January 24 to February 3, were likely to exceed the sales of the Galaxy S24 series, with 1.3 million units sold for the first time in the Galaxy S series, but according to the currently announced figures, it appears to be below the S24 series.

Galaxy S25 Series Sales Status

Galaxy S25 Series Sales Status

According to a report by Wccftech, the Galaxy S25 series saw three times the sales volume of the Galaxy S24 series in the first month after its launch, but the average daily sales volume dropped significantly. During February 2025, Samsung’s total smartphone sales were 19.03 million units, up 15 percent year-on-year, of which 4.56 million units of the Galaxy S25 series were sold.

Among the series, the Galaxy S25 Ultra recorded the highest sales with 2.55 million units, followed by the basic model with 1.17 million units, and the Galaxy S25 Plus with 840,000 units. Looking at the sales figures, the Plus model is the least popular model in the series, so it is understandable that the intention is to gauge market response through the S25 Edge.

Sales Comparison with Galaxy S24 Series

On the other hand, the first month sales of the Galaxy S24 series were 1.42 million units, more than three times the difference compared to the S25 series. However, this was because the Galaxy S24 went on sale in January in a rare move. For the Galaxy S25 series, pre-orders closed on Feb. 3, and the official release date was Feb. 7.

On the other hand, pre-orders for the Galaxy S24 series ended on Jan. 25, with an official release date of Jan. 31. Simply calculating the average daily sales after the pre-order deadline, the Galaxy S25 series sold 180,000 units per day and the Galaxy S24 series 240,000 units per day, a difference of about 60,000 units per day.

Galaxy S25 Series Sales Forecast

However, a difference in average daily sales doesn’t mean that the Galaxy S25 series is lower than the S24 series. This is because the initial sales are generally high and then tend to gradually decrease. Nevertheless, the daily difference of 60,000 units is not small, so we’ll have to keep an eye out for future sales trends.
