hello. This is Technologytodaynow. News has emerged suggesting that the launch of Samsung’s 7th-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, is just around the corner.
Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 OLED Panel Production News

According to a report by SamMobile, production of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will begin in May next month. Currently, Samsung Display is supplying foldable OLED panels for the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series, and it has started producing OLED displays for the 7th generation of full-double smartphones from 17th of this month.
The display will be supplied to Samsung and production of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will begin in May. Therefore, given the timing of production, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are expected to be released in July.
Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 Expected Release Schedule
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 were unveiled at the second half of last year’s One Pack event on July 10, with pre-orders available from July 12 to 18, and the official launch took place on July 24. Therefore, the Fold 7 and Flip 7 are expected to be released around the same time. In addition, there is a possibility that another foldable smartphone will be unveiled at this second half of the year’s Unpack event in addition to the two foldable smartphones, the Fold and Flip.
Products that are expected to be released additionally
Another smartphone expected to be released is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Pen Edition, an entry-level foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to recycle the display used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the design is also expected to be recycled. The cover display of the Flip 7 has been improved to a full screen, which is expected to greatly improve readability, but the design of the Flip 6 seems to be better.
If you’re not too greedy for a full screen cover display, a Flip 7 pen edition would be a good option.
Personally, I think it would be great if the product name were changed from the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fan Edition to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Core, like the recently leaked Galaxy Buds Core, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Next, there’s a possibility that a tri-foldable smartphone will be briefly revealed in a teaser format like the Galaxy Ring or the Galaxy S25 Edge. Based on what is currently known, it is known to have a double infolding method, rather than a structure where the infolding and outfolding coexist like Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate.
Finalize
So far, we’ve learned about the production of foldable OLED panels on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 and the expected launch schedule. We have about three months left until July. Although 12GB of RAM has been repeatedly used for seven years, we look forward to positive changes expected in the new design and features.
