hello. This is Technologytodaynow. A photo of Samsung Electronics’ 7th generation foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is expected to improve mechanical completeness significantly due to its growing display size and thickness of 8.9mm, has been released.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 Real Design Leaked! What Has Changed?
Newly added color, ice blue?

A photo purporting to be of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has leaked via Settsuna Digital’s Weibo. The photo is just a single photo of the back. It shows almost the same design as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but with some very slight differences.
First, it’s a color. This color is similar to the silver shadow that was released on the Fold 6, but unlike the silver shadow, it has a slight furon glow. It looks similar to the Galaxy S5 series’ ice blue, and has a slightly higher saturation than the S25’s ice blue. If the S25’s ice blue gave it a bright feel, the Fold 7’s ice blue feels calmer.
Missing border finish
The second change is that the rim finish is gone. Fold 6 had a frame finish that was overlaid on the rim of the body. It’s a finish that feels a bit bumper-like, and I think there will be some likes and dislikes on this part. Personally, the finish is gone, so it looks a little cleaner.
LED flash position change
Thirdly, the position of the LED flash has changed. On the Fold 6, the LED flash was located at the very top of the camera, to the right of the ultra-wide camera, but on the Fold 7, its position has changed to the bottom, between the top and center cameras, and to the right between the ultra-wide camera and the main camera. This change is the same as the position change from the Galaxy S23 to the Galaxy S24, but this one feels a bit awkward.
A smaller camera ring?
Finally, the camera ring with the same concentric pattern appears to have been attached to the fold when looking at it reflected by light. However, the size of the camera ring itself seems to be smaller than the Fold 6. I remember there was a rumor that it would be removed right away from the Fold 7, but since it is the most obvious design element that separates the old Galaxy Z Fold from the new Galaxy Z Fold, it seems to be changing in a less noticeable direction, not eliminating it right away.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 design, can we look forward to it?
Although there are detailed changes compared to previous models, most of them have the same elements. In particular, the brick-like angular design stands out the most. There were many likes and dislikes for the Galaxy Note and now Galaxy S Ultra adopted in the angular design, but the angular design of the Fold was a change for the unity of the cover display, so it was a change for a solid purpose. I’m really looking forward to seeing what it will feel like in real life.
