hello. This is Technologytodaynow. With the release of the latest news about the Galaxy Z Fold SE, attention is heating up. Recently, a physical photo was leaked. Before we update you, let’s recap some previously released specifications.
Summary of Galaxy Z Fold SE specifications known so far
Referring back to previously leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold SE is expected to have the following specifications
- Camera: 200 MP main camera
- Frames: Titanium frame.
- Aspect ratio: 19.5:9 ratio, same as Galaxy S24 series
- Display: 6.5-inch external, 8-inch internal
- Thickness: 10.1 mm when folded
Galaxy Z Fold SE hands-on photos leak
Additionally, actual photos of the Galaxy Z Fold SE were leaked for the first time through AndroidHeadlines. The main features confirmed through the photos are as follows.
Design and appearance changes
- Squaircle design: The rear camera bump has been confirmed to have a Squaircle design, which is expected to be present on the Galaxy S25 series.
- Like the Galaxy Fold 6, a flat design border is applied, and the back is post-processed with a brush pattern like a special edition. This is a similar processing to the Fold 6’s crafted black, further emphasizing its luxury.
- Thickness: The Fold SE appears to be thinner than the Fold 6, and is expected to be available in black color only in South Korea.
Camera modules and performance
- Camera bump size: It looks thicker than on the Fold 6, but it seems to be an inevitable consequence of the device’s thinner size. In particular, the bump is bigger with the 200MP main camera.
- Periscope camera: While it’s impossible to tell from the leaked physical photos whether the device has a periscope camera module, China’s Weibo and IT leaker Iceunivers have noted that it’s likely to be a periscope camera.
Expect Galaxy S24 Ultra-class camera performance
The Galaxy Z Fold SE is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of camera performance.
However, even if it doesn’t have a 50MP 5x telephoto camera, I think it should have a smaller camera sensor with 5x optical zoom, like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, to excel in a variety of shooting environments.
