hello. This is Technologytodaynow. Dummy photos that give us a glimpse into the design of the iPhone 17 series have been released. Let’s take a closer look at the related news.
iPhone 17 Series Design Projections
The iPhone 16e was a huge disappointment

The two most absurd things about the iPhone 16e are that it is marketed as an iPhone that is released at a price of 990,000 won, and secondly, the MagSafe function has been removed despite the fact that it is an iPhone that costs 990,000 won. In view of this situation, there is a concern that there may be a possibility that the MagSafe will be removed from the iPhone 17 Air, which will be newly released in the iPhone 17 series.
iPhone 17 series design known so far
Specifically, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to change the frame material to aluminum instead of titanium, and the camera bump is also expected to be made of aluminum, not glass. If you look at the 17 Pro’s design drawings, you can see that the material around the Apple logo is distinguished for MagSafe wireless charging. Glass is likely to be used in this area, but the iPhone 17 Air’s drawings didn’t show that distinction. So, I was worried that there might be a possibility of MagSafe missing from the Air model, but fortunately, that seems unlikely.
Newly released iPhone 17 series design features

Sonny Dickson’s Twitter account revealed a dummy photo for the iPhone 17 series of accessories. The shape of the design came as expected. The iPhone 17 base model retains the same design as the iPhone 16, while the iPhone 17 Air features a single camera setup on a straight bar. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, on the other hand, feature a triangular camera setup on the left, an LED flash, a secondary microphone, and a LiDAR sensor on the right, and a large camera bump. Fortunately, all of the iPhone 17 series seem to have built-in MagSafe magnets.
Material and Design of iPhone 17 Air
If this design is adopted, it is possible that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air will have some differences in the shape and material of the frame. Some of the glass is expected to be used on the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Air is likely to be entirely made of glass on the back, just like a typical iPhone.
Given the concept of the product, the iPhone 17 Air may be more suitable because it’s a portability-focused model. However, it can be light enough without using aluminum, and since it’s very thin, I think it could be because it could bend like the iPhone 6 without using glass. I’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
