hello. This is Technologytodaynow. In this post, we’ll be sharing the latest news about OneUI 7 coming to the Galaxy S25.
Major changes to OneUI 7 scheduled to be installed on Galaxy S25
Galaxy S25 OneUI 7 beta release imminent
The OneUI 7 beta, which will be released alongside the Galaxy S25, is reportedly set to begin sometime in December, but as previously reported, this beta will work differently than previous versions, most likely rolling out as a beta program for developers first.
However, the details of whether regular users can participate are still unknown. As it was recently confirmed that the Galaxy S23 and S24 base models are being updated to beta builds, there is a possibility that OneUI 7 beta will be moved up to sometime in November. And recently, there were additional updates from OneUI 7.
Separating and customizing the quick panel and notification shade
In OneUI 7, users will be able to choose whether they want to see the quick panel and notification shade separately or together, the volume control shade and module shade can be repositioned as desired, and the volume shade will be expanded in size. Quick panel accessibility will also be improved, with the quick panel bar or notification shade now visible when swiping down from the middle of the screen.
Design a new three-dimensional icon
The icon design in OneUI 7 also seems to be undergoing a change, and it looks more polished than before. The Phone app and Contacts icons have been redesigned to feel more three-dimensional, and the Phone app icon in particular feels more advanced and polished than before. The Contacts app, however, looks like it could use a little more work.
More customization for the lock screen
The lockscreen is also expected to change, with the clock face being able to be repositioned to your liking and the bottom icons reportedly increasing in size. There will also be a charging motion and music playback indicator, which will also be customizable.
Animations and folder customization with Good Lock
OneUI 7’s Good Lock feature allows you to customize animations andfolder sizes. In particular, the Home Up feature allows you to fine-tune the animations to your liking, allowing you to set the animations when launching apps the way you want them. You can also resize folders and launch apps directly from the home screen without having to enter the folder.
OneUI 7 beta participation model
First of all, the recently announced OneUI 7 beta changes will be four, and the beta participation model seems to be that the Galaxy S23 and S24 series will be applied to the beta program first, but I think the Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 will not participate in the subsequent beta version, and the Fold SE is a limited edition concept, so it remains to be seen if the OneUI 7 beta will be applied.
