Is the iPhone 17 Pro design really good?

The new design of the iPhone 17, known so far, appears to be similar to the Google Pixel. Looking back at the previously known design, the camera is placed horizontally and the lens is surrounded by an oval camera bump. The difference with the Pixel is that the camera position is completely at the top.

iPhone 17 Pro New Rendering Design Unveils
Jon Prosser, the operator of Front Page Tech, has revealed a rendering image that is believed to be the new design of the iPhone 17 Pro. This rendering looks completely different from the iPhone 17 Pro’s previously anticipated design. For your information, the design that was previously revealed by Front Page Tech was a real-life match on the iPhone 13 series, but it differed from the real-life design on the iPhone 14 series.
Camera layout and bump design
If you look at the expected design of the iPhone 17 Pro released by Front Page Tech, you can see that unlike the designs after the Galaxy S10 series or Pixel 6, the camera lens is not arranged horizontally and maintains the existing triangular arrangement. Additionally, the LED flash and lidar sensor are placed at the far right, as opposed to near the lens in previous models. Along with this, there is a very large camera bump that surrounds both the lens and the LED flash.
Expectations and concerns
According to Jon Prosser, he created renderings of the iPhone 17 Pro’s design based on several reliable sources and claims that he has actually seen the 17 Pro in person. In addition, the iPhone 17, which is expected to be equipped with a dual camera, and the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be equipped with a single camera, have not yet been directly confirmed, but it was mentioned that similar changes will be made to both models for design consistency.
However, I think it is unlikely that this design will be applied in practice. First of all, the design itself is not particularly attractive, and if it were changed to a horizontal format like the pixel camera, the protruding part of the camera would not be biased to one side, so it would not rattle when placed on the floor. However, the newly released design is not expected to receive satisfactory evaluations for both psychological factors and practicality. I think it would be a good idea to wait and see until further news comes out.
